Environment

At First Learning we are committed to looking after our environment wherever we can, including the conservation of energy resources, recycling waste products and re-using suitable materials for children’s activities. Our energy is provided via an entirely ‘green’ contract, of which 100% comes from renewable sources. We do not use wireless internet systems anywhere in our nursery, which we believe have the potential to be harmful to infants & young children.

 

The cleaning and detergent products we use are made from safe, biodegradable constituents wherever practical. The nappies we provide are natural, unbleached, biodegradable and compostable. Creams and lotions are made from safe ingredients. We are always striving to do more, and are currently working towards a waste composting facility and acquiring a local allotment.
